Your Child’s Day
A day at First Presbyterian Preschool is filled with warmth discovery, and meaningful connection.
Our daily schedule balances learning centers, outdoor exploration, engaging routines, and cozy moments for reset and reflection.
Arrival & Welcome
Children start their day by storing belongings, exploring creative table activities, and easing into the day through quiet play and conversation.
Circle Time
The class gathers to sing songs, greet one another, and discuss the day’s plans while practicing listening, conversing, and building early relationships.
Center Explorations
Children rotate through hands-on centers such as art, blocks, sensory activities, dramatic play, and early literacy and math experiences.
Outdoor Play
Playgrounds and buggy walks provide time to run, climb, ride tricycles, and play cooperative games that develop large motor skills and social play.
Snack/Quiet Time
Children enjoy a snack or lunch while practicing good manners and tidy up afterwards. After refueling, they slow down for rest or quiet time with soft music and books.
Afternoon Activities
Additional explorations include small-group activities, story time, music and science.
